Been there one day and it was a nice summer's day, then again, I have never been to north-west Scotland.

You get some nice days at Fort William in August, too. No-one ever believes it's possible, but really, you do.
I don't actually think Wellington is as cool or wet as Fort William, but they're two places that get a reputation for breezy conditions.
