Also in the Photo is Peter Faulkner, he was 12 man for Australia, his son James was more successful.

Donald's record v Australia is actually pretty good considering the strength of our side in his time. Ambrose is the standout and Bishop averaged 23 against Australia in 10 tests, though I think Bishop benefitted a lot by Ambrose's presence. Wasim averaged 25 in his 13 tests, the under rated Dean Headley 24 in 6. Harby and Kumble 24 and 27, though I think they more than any other bowler benefitted from home conditions. Then bowlers of his era start to pay for their wickets. Walsh averaged 28, which is very good. There is quite a list of notables who averaged over 30. Fraser, Gough, Caddick, Murali, Vass, De Villiers, Pollock, Waqar, Shoaib, Saqlain, Cairns and Patterson. Even the famous English 2005 quartet all averaged over 30 v Australia with the exception of Simon Jones. So Donald's average is around what an exceptional bowler would expect to shell out against an exceptional side.
