Not what I was saying. Both having a full career is hypothetical. I would rather go with what they had.
Yeah but Shoaib played over a decade for 46 tests. He couldn't complete most series.

Compared to that, Asif as a worldclass bowler wins by default.

On a match to match basis, Akhtar is quite better. So given he played more as well, think it shan't be much that Asif has potential to play longer. His career wasn't cut short by a tragedy like Jackson or Appleyard, or something outside his control like Barry or O'Reilly, but by choice.

Sorry but if you can't bank on a bowler completing a series that's a major major liability
