He was some where like Vaas, but better.I do wonder, just how good do you all think Kapil was as a bowler? Accounting for lack of support and what we know of his skills and ability.
~ 26-27 averaging bowler with proper support and wickets that are more productive for fast bowling.I do wonder, just how good do you all think Kapil was as a bowler? Accounting for lack of support and what we know of his skills and ability.

This.No, just greedy.
Is that why he was injured?People have “full” careers face injuries, their skills atrophy, they get found - Kapil’s durability for as long as he played is in itself a virtue. It’s very hard to say anyone who didn’t have a full career be it Asif, Bomd or Akhtar really can compare because all of their future variables are to the downside
The only problem there is that he did better in India than he performed most anywhere else.~ 26-27 averaging bowler with proper support and wickets that are more productive for fast bowling.
He had more tangible support from the Indian home spin bowlers in India, and I'm pretty sure he did even better in Australia and the West Indies than at home. The only problem there is that he did better in India than he performed most anywhere else.
Funny though, aren’t Australia and West Indies places where the spin support would be minimal? Whereas England and Pakistan would be places where the spinners were much more successful? He had more tangible support from the Indian home spin bowlers in India, and I'm pretty sure he did even better in Australia and the West Indies than at home.
Australia Yeah, West Indies No, I think they had some productive wickets for spin after 1970sFunny though, aren’t Australia and West Indies places where the spin support would be minimal? Whereas England and Pakistan would be places where the spinners were much more successful?
