Yes.

"Better" which is a comparative is used for ranking two things/people etc., while "best" which is a superlative is used for three or more.

In an alternate universe where Laxman had stayed opener and Sehwag a middle order bat, the battle would be Laxman vs Ganguly.

Laxman played a few years in the 90s. In the 2000s, he averaged 49 like Sehwag. But he has less padding per opposition and has the more stable returns in NZ/SA. Beats Sehwag against Australia too. I'll admit Sehwag doing better at home to SA is a point in his favour as well as the big fast tons setting games up in Asia.
