Laxman vs Sehwag vs Pujara

Who is the better test batsman?

@PlayerComparisons I think this is your best thread yet.

We watch cricket for the sake of viewing certain players and how they go through their phases. One guy who blew me away was Sehwag, he ****ing made 100 inside the first session of a test match once.

But, I know quality when I see it and those two other guys are heaps better...

Just my bias.

Sehwag was not ATG in Australia. He faced very weak attacks there except in the ROW test. Don't think he can emulate Pujara's tours of England and Australia in 2018. And Pujara's record on turners was exceptional before his natural decline.

Well there’s the 201 out of 329 runs in an innings against Murali and Mendis

And it’s equally valuable to strike at 100 and score a double century to force a victory on a flat pitch where it could have drawn - Sehwag won a large number of matches

Yeah. I rate Sehwag ahead of the other two in Asia because of the strike rate.

Laxman is a great player, my personal favorite, and depending on how you constitute India's AT XI, would bat at no 6

Sehwag is just a freak in terms of his value contribution in Asia.
