International Debutant
Two batsmen that are very underrated probably due to their style of batting
I can only assume the whole reason for this thread is to upset trundler.hmm surprised at trundler's vote here
Pietersen vs Khan is like Laxman vs DravidThrashing. Boycott v Khan would be close on here. KP v Khan would be closer in-fact.
He would attain more than 17% of the votes.Pietersen vs Khan is like Laxman vs Dravid
It's not quite as infuriating as Dravid losing to Barrington but up there with Botham losing to Pollock.I can only assume the whole reason for this thread is to upset trundler.
Still wouldn’t be closeHe would attain more than 17% of the votes.
Nah it wouldn't, just a dig at Trundler.Still wouldn’t be close
I missed all this - did both of those things actually happen? It's not quite as infuriating as Dravid losing to Barrington but up there with Botham losing to Pollock.
Nah it wouldn't, just a dig at Trundler.
No way Pietersen is a better bat than KhanStill wouldn’t be close
Yeah I kinda agree, he wasn't the best player of lateral movement. But anyone else feel comparisons like this always expose how difficult it is to be fair to the more modern guy in comparisons like this? Barrington had obscene stats but I'm sure he had his own weaknesses (every batsman does), they're just not brought up because people who haven't watched them play can't make any kind of judgement. Whereas with Younis all his strengths and weaknesses are relatively fresh in the memory, so they're going to be brought up.Might be unfair of me but I've never rated Younis as high as many others on this forum because he just looked so unbelievably inept when the ball was hooping around in NZ conditions. I mean tail-ender level inept.
Not the best player of pace. Struggled massively against WI with Hall, especially at home and was said to be suspect against the short ball.Barrington had obscene stats but I'm sure he had his own weaknesses
Yep. Thorpe > KP.No way Pietersen is a better bat than Khan
