Was reading about this at cricinfo. By the sounds of things, it seems to address most of all scores with very few wickets down by the team batting second. Here's a quick comparison with some situations:
Any opinions? It looks to me, at a glance though, that D-L is still superior (at least, given most of the examples provided). Wouldn't mind knowing more about it's (the VJD method) ins and outs though.
Also, are people generally of the opinion that adjusted totals need to be tougher on the teams batting second, or do you think the current system is adequate in that regard? The NZ win over South Africa in the '03 World Cup still seemed a little skewed to me.
