Pre injury Ian Bishop was a complete beast and took wickets everywhere. His last 3 series messed up (when he was too far gone) his record. So for me I'll give it to Ian.

Bishop was lethal pre-injury but that was half of his short career.

Shoaib was the most lethal bowler ever from 2002-2007 but was so injury prone and unprofessional that he could barely complete a series.

Bumrah so far has hardly done anything wrong. Except for NZ when he was injured, he has succeeded and won matches everywhere. The guy was leader of his attack basically from his first series onwards.

I would choose Bishop over Shoaib simply because Bishop wouldnt break down in the middle of a test. But Bumrah will overtake both of them eventually.

That lad's the most exciting Indian seamer I've ever seen in my lifetime. They better not run him into the ground, and actually give him some ability to recover between matches so he can offer his best.

I would forcibly retire Bumrah from T20 and IPL and bilateral ODI tournaments, and just get him to focus on tests and maybe the WC.

I hate watching him bowl but for the sake of cricket, I hope he recovers.

I think him getting injured now may be a blessing in disguise to force selectors to manage his workload moving forward. Of course, hard to tell.
I think him getting injured now may be a blessing in disguise to force his average to remain low moving forward. Australia gonna smash India.

Bishop was a beast, but clearly < than Bumrah.
