Interesting that he picked Flintoff over Stokes
Clearly doesn’t believe test cricket has really been saved.Interesting that he picked Flintoff over Stokes
PeEr oPiNiOnZ mAtTeRMust say the latest batch of English players who turned to coms are disgracefully bias. Ben Stokes is apparently in the mount Rushmore of great players according to Ali Cook. Stuart Broad reckons Root is better than Tendulkar and Jimmy A is superior to Curtley and McGrath. We get it they are your friends but stop being so blatantly bias ffs
Only the ones we agree with.PeEr oPiNiOnZ mAtTeR
Is it bias when it’s so obviously true?Must say the latest batch of English players who turned to coms are disgracefully bias. Jimmy can only talk about what he has seen.God, every time I hear his talk about cricket I wonder why don't people stop platforming him.
Apparently cricket started in 1989 and consists of 3 countries.

I'm surprised that he didn't pick himselfIs it bias when it’s so obviously true?
Yes i agree not selecting Steve Smith is Anderson protecting his ego from all the runs Smith smashed against him, no other explanation for one of the ATG's from Anderson era not to be included in Jimmy's team. For discussion sake I think there are 3 players who are missing that should definitely be there.
1.Steve Smith
It's just historically inaccurate for Anderson not to include Steven Smith , Jimmy's greatest era was the 2010's , Steve Smith was that eras greatest test batsman , he reached a level of batsmanship in the Ashes that few have attained and Anderson was on the receiving end of quite a few Steve Smith classics. This is like naming your best F1 drivers of the last 25 years and not mentioning Schumacher, personal bias or not its just bonkers not to include Steve Smith.
2.Graeme Smith
Graeme Smith played 21 tests vs England , all in Anderson's era with great success.
Anderson bowled in the series that Smith scored back to back double hundreds as a 22 year old Test Captain, the 4th innings 154* at Edgbaston in 2008 is one of the best innings in England this century, Jimmy took part in that. SA vs England had some pretty memorable series when Smith and Anderson were active players , another player that should be a lock.
3.Ben Stokes
Maybe some Lancashire bias with the Flintoff selection, but Anderson definitely played better TEST cricket with Stokes than he did with Flintoff , was barely a regular when Flintoff was in the side. Stokes has many great moments in an England shirt that Jimmy witnessed first hand in the team.
Final Verdict :
On paper , Jimmy's team is very good and it's his personal choice after all but I can't help but notice a few of his favorite bunnies were included ,at the expense of other players who had great success in Anderson's era, especially matches involving England.
Flintoff selection could be Lancashire bias but it could also be possible that Stokes being the captain that ended Anderson's career when he wanted to continue also was a factor in his omission?
It's an XI that massages Anderson's ego , if thats what Anderson was going for kudos to him !.
Steve Smith should be a certainity. But if we're improving upon Flintoff, Jadeja is better than StokesFor discussion sake I think there are 3 players who are missing that should definitely be there.

Can understand if Stokes is being picked because Anderson played his best cricket with Stokes , they were both genuine weapons of the England test team ..Like if you were going to include some of your teammates Stokes should get in ahead of Flintoff in that contextSteve Smith should be a certainity. But if we're improving upon Flintoff, Jadeja is better than Stokes
