James Anderson picks his all time team.

Anderson did play a decent number of Tests alongside peak Flintoff though.
Could more be a case of hero worship there, i.e Flintoff being an inspiration for the young up and coming Anderson versus Stokes coming in later in his career. In his mind Stokes might never have been able to live up to Freddy.

It might just be friendship tbh

Flintoff was way better than Stokes. Flintoff actually makes the best team I saw play although mainly for balancing purposes
Stokes a better captain , a better batsman , a better fielder , less injury prone ..

Even in the bowling , Stokes has a better SR , a better bowling average in less overs bowled than Flintoff. Flintoff was talent wise a better bowler due to his ability to bowl express pace but it doesn't reflect in his bowling record in Tests , I had to do a double take when I saw he averaged 36 with the ball in England ..Yuck!

He had a great but shortlived test peak. The 2005 Ashes victory is the defining part of his career.

Flintoff’s 04-06 was better than any sustained period of Stokes’ career I would say, but Stokes has had the better career.

Flintoff the better ODI player though

Here's another. Joe Root is the best test batter of all time as per Harry Brook

They banned poor Kagiso for having a line or five but these guys are clearly on lsd but somehow keep sneaking through the drug tests.

And Ben stokes said Jimmy Anderson is the greatest fast bowler of all time

More chance of Cummins retiring after having to bowl to Brook
On the kind of wickets Australia produce now, I'd doubt it. Harry has been a wizard on roads but a muggle when the balls moves side ways, spins or bounces above the penis
