Is This the Best Non-Computer Game?

I just purchased QUICKSingle and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I was wondering if anyone here had compared it to other cricket board or card games, and how it rates in comparison. I also purchased 'Wicketz', 'Armchair Cricket' and Lambourne Games' 'International Cricket'. Has anyone here played these games?

Thanks. :)

I can understand that. Many times older games were created by amateurs who didn't really have experience in game design. Since the 1980s, board and card gaming has gone through some radical changes in terms of making game design more fun, playable and realistic without huge rules-sets.

Beery was talking about the 80s and I misread, I do apologise for such a heinous crime.

If you want me to pick out instances of you being "smart" on here then I might have a spare weekend coming up to get them all.

Can anyone give me a run-down of what they think is good about QUICKSingle, and what they think is bad about it, compared to other cricket games they've played?

Thanks.

Could we please stick to the thread topic. I don't know about anyone else, but the backbiting is getting on my nerves just a tad. I've asked a couple of very simple questions, but out of 11 replies, only one (so far) has been responsive, and even that one failed to answer my questions. I still have no idea how this game rates compared to other similar games.

Surely someone here has the game, and surely some folks here have played other similar games. If you have, please post here and enlighten me. If you haven't, or if you don't care about the topic I posted, do us all a favour and shut the #@^& up! :@

I'm sorry, but I've done my best to be patient, but my patience is wearing thin (and I'm a Yorkshireman so I don't suffer fools gladly at the best of times).

Armchair Cricket is my favourite. I created a discussion group for it at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/armchair-cricket/ and you can find the latest version of my computer Armchair Cricket game at http://cec.wustl.edu/~rhl1/accc/ . I'd appreciate any feedback!

The best non-computer cricket game is Test Match, That one where you turn the tabs to see what delivery is bowled and how many runs are scored, etc.
