Is there a Rest of World XI that can beat the Subcontinent test XI at home?

Playing in the SC, the previous thread generally agreed on this type of XI:

Sehwag
Gavaskar
Dravid
Tendulkar
Miandad/Younis/Sanga
Sanga/Dhoni/Pant - keeper
Imran
Wasim
Waqar/Kapil
Ashwin/Jadeja
Murali

Regardless of the formulation, the XI will have some of the best players of spin ever, the best spinners on SC wickets and the best reverse swingers too.

Is there a ROW XI, sans Bradman and Barnes, that can beat this XI over a 5-test series in India/Pakistan?

Interesting. I’ve ponder world 11 selections that people come up with and whether they would suffer in India. Who were the most successful non Asian spinners in Asian conditions?

The bowling averages suggest McWarne weren’t at the peak of their powers in Asia, with Walsh, Hadlee and Benaud having the most success.

Warne was still excellent in Pakistan and SL so there is still a case to play him.
Richie was amazing in both Pakistan and India, Warne’s record is actually meh in Pakistan. Obviously Richie never played in Bangladesh SL or the UAE.

India/Pakistan for Warne

12 matches, 52 wickets @ 37.88, 3 five fers.

Its Benaud by a mile in Asia. Only one other spinner from outside Asia has taken 50 wickets there @ under 25 (Gibbs)

They both only played 12 tests, in different eras and likely different conditions, so not a great source to go on as it first appears.

Warne was MOS in Pakistan in his only series there and then terrific in UAE.

I think Swann is a good shout for ROW spinner. Excellent series in India, UAE and SL and over 50 wickets @ under 25.

Can the ROW win in the SC in 5 tests with only one spinner?
