8 years isn't long between drinks for a very good but not dominant side tbh. India have been comfortably top 4 in ODIs (with who is best swinging around a bit) rather than clear best. Same in tests. Sometimes they're the best, but not for long enough to nab a trophy.

Surely India win 2023 ODI WC. Surely.
