I Hate Two Test Series!

This kind of bull**** is one of the primary reasons why I don't love cricket anymore. All the administrators care about is making money. "Preparing for the world cup", what a load of crap - if that's the case then why the 3 T20s?

1992 was our best world cup ever and how many ODIs did we play that summer before the tournament? Three. And we lost them all.

I would have liked to see 3 game series for all 3 forms given the starting date of Dec 26 and end date of Feb 5.

3 T20s between Xmas and New Years would be good.
3 Tests in the month of January
3 ODIs from Feb 1 to Feb 5.
Alll international series should be like this excpet the Ashes (where 5 test series will always occur) & SA vs ENG 4 test series.

Nah, I'd like to see five test series between evenly matched nations - SA tours to Aus and visa versa would be better as five test series, but I understand with the scheduling issues why they've gone for two-legs of three tests, which is not a bad compromise. India-Australia series should be five tests as well.

SA-Aus definitely 5 matches

Eng-SA 5 test matches too (4 test matches were just not enough as the 1-1 draw earlier this year proved)

Pak-India 5 test matches every 4 years (just because its Pak-India)

Yea scheduling is the only reason AUS vs SA dont play 5 test home & away

I dont mind IND vs AUS 5 tests in IND. But not sure about that in AUS.

Depends how evenly matched they are as well. West Indies/Pakistan/NZ for example, could play some really close and exciting 4 test series against each other.

I agree with the thread starter. I would have loved to see at least 3 tests in NZ would have loved the battles....but i don't know where NZ stand now with Bond and the other guy who i think got married and left or something like that after the last Pak NZ test..with their bowling line up. NZ batting is bound to struggle against Pak bowling in NZ conditions...it was Bond who made the greater difference in last series....but yes, agree that its point less to have 6 odis and only 2 tests...i would have loved it if 3 tests and 5 odis and 1 T20 or no T20s...

I have grown in confidence after the last test win against Eng. if Pak can put up a good fight in the 4th test against England even if they don't win and the bowlers stay fit then i think they should come on top...but not comfortably at all...

This. Even Aus/WI (in Aus anyway) has been pegged back since WI lost 5-0.

Not much point at the moment for 5 test series between, say, SA and NZ.

Just a 2 test series seems so empty.

True, but it would have been so amazing if that 2004 series here in NZ had been a 5 test series. Think it ended 1-1, with our spectacular win at Eden Park (one of my favourite matches ever) and then South Africa winning at the Basin to level it IIRC.

Yeah, AWTA. Reckon Australia/India should be 5 rather than 4 too.
