How about an SMS when a wicket falls?

I am thinking about building an app that sends out a notification every time a wicket falls. Suggest that it might include details about the ball and the dismissal, the score, next to come in. Can you guys let me know if you would like something like this? Would you pay for it? Would you accept a small charge like a 1900 number? Would you prefer to cop an ad to make it free? Really just testing the water here. I know for myself, when a test is on it would be great to know about the fall of a wicket - it is always quite annoying when you check in on the game and four more Kiwis have bitten the dust!! Sorry for thet, my Noo Zulund frinds.
Warney, I know you will sign up. Just need the Spearmint Rhino on board as an advertiser.

Not Terrible
Cricinfo does it.

And no I wouldn't pay for it. You can check by going online with your phone anyway for minimal cost.

I'll send you my phone number. Just text me when a wicket falls :).

I think you can get this from telstra or one of the providers as well.

FWIW I think it's a good service to have, but as Athlai noted, in this day and age of internet phones, there might not be much cabbage in it for you.

Wickets, Landmarks [50s and 100s]. lunch, tea and stumps scores, plus cricket trivia would be the go.

If it was free I'd do it. if the occasional and I mean occasional ad was sent.

Good call. I'll give that some thought. Someone suggested Cricinfo did something similar, but I think they only push the commentary to you without filtering it ie ball by ball, which I think would be info overload. If you have the time to check ball by ball, you might as well be watching it!! Maybe we could let people choose the level of info, landmarks etc...hmmm
