Gambhir being a jerk for no reason

honestbharani

Whatever it takes!!!
It's one of the worst things you can say to an Australian tbh. Immediately gets most people riled up.
He is such a **** that even when he makes good points, you dont feel like supporting him.

Anyways, there are reports out that the groudnsman let England management walk around the square and only raised a stink about India. Now, it maybe coz he felt there were too many but that did not seem to be the argument. Its also interesting that the video shows whatever he says being inaudible but GG is recorded very clearly.

My reading of this is the groundsman was being a biased **** and GG, being a **** himself, retaliated. The whole "just a groundsman" line was definitely inexcusable but not a surprise given we know what a miserable insecure bloke he can be, at least in public.

Is that a thing in other parts of the world? I thought that's a very specific Delhi/Northern India thing.
Not just in Delhi alone.

A disgusting attitude that is prevalent all across our country is to act superior and think some professions are inferior.

Yeah the classist hierarchy based attitude permeates the whole of Indian culture. I was once shoved aside at Chennai airport by a politician's lacky who had come to pick his master. It's unconscious but it's deeply ingrained and sometimes its expression is subtle. I think I have had to unlearn this myself.

What is kind of more common in Delhi and surrounding regions is the verbal expression of this attitude and picking fights at the drop of a hat.

What, you don't have Google, ****? Look it up, there's pic everywhere of some fat **** from the England set up walking around the same spot Gambhir was.

geez who came in your coffee this morning.

Haven't seen anything in actual news yet. We know the Indian camp is not shy of calling out double standards if they see it. If there is actually something there then hopefully it gets reported.

Would not excuse Gambhir's behaviour one bit, but would atleast offer a reason.

I recall reading something about he had concerns about where the Indian team had placed an ice box. Unsure of the accuracy.

Groundsman was unnecessarily being pedantic and wrongly believed the indian support staff would somehow cause damage to the square (inner circle area).

Gambhir, instead of raising his point politely or logically, lost his head and had a horrible outburst which he needs to be punished for. No professional (or adult) should speak like that to anyone. The guy has zero tolerance or restraint. Has no clue how to engage with different people. Wonder how Gambhir(terribly serious) the atmosphere in the dressing room would be -with him at the helm.. He really needs to be relieved of his duties soon.

I am going to guess it must be like being around a school principal who could snap at any moment. Even when he was praising Pant in the dressing room for batting with a fractured toe it felt like he was telling others that they can never be this courageous.

Yeah personally speak I absolutely despise being around people like with every fibre of my being. Even when things seem on the surface to be perfectly fine, you're still a little on edge because you have no idea what seemingly innocuous or thoughtless comment will make them fly off the handle.
