Liam Lawson @Flem274*

Last time Verstappen was outqualified by a Red Bull or Toro Rosso driver was Sao Paulo with both Yuki and Liam. Perez at Azerbaijan. Then you go all the way back to Miami 2023.

The prayer circle has been active for some time.

Liam was a **** qualifier in junior formulas so this was a surprise but I fully expect the same feeling I had watching the Warriors last night post race.

Wild this for Sainz, getting stuck on the grid at formation lap, then getting around, pulling into pits, bursting into flames, and finally withdrawing. so with 19 racers we'll go only.

One of the most bizarre things I've seen in F1 in my 4-5 months of watching it lol.

rip for Sainz, Verstappen and Albon.

Was an intriguing fight for the lead, great racing in the first stint, I was of the opinion though, if they weren’t going to immediately pit Piastri they should have extended far longer than they did, if they were going to offset, send it. Most of his big gains later on came due to traffic.

Very good work from Lawson, making the one stop work and holding Alonso at bay the entire race. Alonso too obviously, but Lawson really needed that one. Great race from Bortoleto and Sauber in general, points from Hulk from the back of the grid? Yes please. Was worth taking the gamble for Hadjar with the SC pit but still, can’t help wondering if he may have beaten Ocon if he hadn’t pitted at the start - though I don’t remember where he ended up after lap 1.

Decent race. Hamilton was also completely right at the end, 0 threat from Russell so give him an alternate to LeClerc as well. Classic Ferrari.

Double points Sauber let's goooo

Stoked for Liam. Needed that after the Warriors.

Fun race. Good fight for the lead, underdog battles and points, and some certified video game passing attempts down dive bomb alley.

Watched the F1 movie today. As expected it's quite unrealistic, a bit ***ist but still an entertaining watch

Max is just another level man... Will end up as the F1 goat for sure... I've no doubt in my mind... If he's not there already

I think my favourite part of quali was Russell not being mentioned at all in Q3, even after his great lap putting him ahead of the Ferraris.

Shoutout to Tsunoda for outqualifying the Racing Bulls. (how sad is it that this is an achievement for the second Red Bull driver at this point?)

Also apparently from what I heard in the telecast Bottas is an option to replace Colapinto soon if he doesn’t improve. I’m curious as to when teams will actually give drivers a full season’s chance.

Obviously Gasly has outperformed him, but Gasly is also 16th in the championship. Clearly the car sucks. You hate to see potential young talent being squandered if they don’t immediately outperform an experienced teammate who is more familiar with the car.

Stoked fo Hulk!
Stupid stupid way for Piastri to throw away the win, hilarious that max spun out straight away though, so job done i guess
