English Domestic Season 2025

First professional 10-fer for Rehan, might not have to wait until Bangladesh for another Test call-up lol
10fer and century in the same match and he's still only 20. So much potential there.

WG Grace apparently was the youngest to achieve the feat a few days before turning 20 in 1868.

So wonder if Rehan the youngest since.

It will be an a losing cause but James Coles is having a strong season. Reckon he could force himself into the England reckoning long term. Handy spinner too.

Hartley did the same for Lancashire

Just more evidence of how crazy the selection of Bashir has been

Lancashire now 4th. Of the remaining games two are against Galmaorgan and one against bottom of the table Kent and the 4th against Middlesex. Promotion if that is applicable is in their hands after the mid season changes.
Middlesex who after their own mid season changes are 5th just one point behind Lancs have also suddenly improved beyond belief. The race for second is close. Middlesex play Gloucestershire twice, Derbyshire and Lancashire and so maybe favourites to finish behind Leicestershire.
Although Glamorgan must regret their start (losing to Leicester and Middlesex) equally have it in their own hands - two wins against Lancashire and they will be hard if not impossible to catch up.

No one apart from the Lancashire board thought Benkenstien was anything other than a horrific appointment at the time and shock horror as soon as he is out of the picture its like a completely different team. Hopefully Hartleys confidence should be well up now and if Jimmy is available for a few of the remaining games I think we will get second place.

Kent docked 8 points, their chances of avoiding the wooden spoon are fading fast. Some batting collapses around the country, including at Durham, for whom Ben McKinney’s got out early on his return to the team. Another half-century for Rehan Ahmed!
