This is not the match I thought I was going to be watching.

This lot are actually quite good at this aren't they?

They beat England in the 2019 WC. Different format, but not entirely unrelated. And they've had their chances in the games that they lost in this tournament, so this match should never have been regarded as a formality.

SL might well rue letting the SA game slip through their grasp if this group goes down to NRR. On the other hand, I don't see Aus or WI handling this bowling attack too well either. Early days yet but I'd bet on SL going through with England.

Thought it looked better on replay than it did in real time.

Was convinced it was outside the line at full speed, but in slow mo it was marginal at best.

They were pretty dire in their white ball tour of England this summer (Hasaranga excepted, from memory?). Hopefully England weren't taking them lightly due to that; as you say they've looked very good in this tournament so far.

Aus have already beaten SL haven't they? I think they still have to play Bangladesh and WI.
