EPISODE I.a: THE DEV LEAGUE IS BORN

Midway through the tour of South Africa, the Development League was established and open auditions for roster spots began. At the time, there was just one CW team - Cricket Web XI Devs - and it was due to compete against Australia 'A', New Zealand 'A', South Africa 'A', England 'A', West Indies 'A', Minnows XI, Zimbabwe 'A'.

The schedule consisted of the teams competing in round robin format in 5D and OD.
