I'm thoroughly looking forward to the coming tour - I feel it has the potential to be a superb learning experience for all the players involved, seamers, spinners, all-rounders, batsmen, keepers.

However, it's a gruelling upcoming schedule on unfamiliar soil, and we must maintain our discipline if we're to get as much out as is possible. As well as insisting that we don't touch the local water, and are very, very careful what we eat, there will also be an alcohol ban for the duration of each leg of the tour. Seeing as most players are underage, anyway, it shouldn't affect them - but either way, this is international cricket, you have to put in what you want to get out.

I look forward to seeing how we deal with Karnataka.

No nocturnal activity the night before a match (11pm curfew)... and midnight curfews all other days.

If you aren't in an acceptable physical and mental condition, then you'll be on the next plane back. Simple as!

In the absence of head coach Richard Dickinson (paternity leave), Neil Pickup has been appointed the temporary player coach of the CW XI and the head coach of the Cricket Web 'A' team.
Paternity leave?!

Is this the first step towards dismissal for adding absolutely nothing to the side?

A bit surprised personally to see people who played recently in the first XI picked for the "A" tour, as I assumed it was to give experience to young potentials.
A sides always have a few people in who are recent Internationals,

Very proud of making the A team tour, off now to pack the bags for india (bat, pads, bakes beans etc...)

Well done to all other players that made the squad as well.

Well done to everyone who was selected, honoured to have been given a place in the side.

Special congratulations to Dave for getting the role of captain, and Neil as stand-in coach. Good luck to everyone, let's kill 'em boys! :D

By the way Neil, I think we should ban players eating ANY form of curry. I would say that poses a greater risk to our performances than the bubonic plague.

Blanket bans are not the way forwards, we just must be selective what we consume.

I'm quite happy to cook, just give me an industrial-size frying pan...

To clear the air...

Richard Dickinson notified the CWBCC well in advance of his leave. He has not disclosed who the lucky female is, but he has indicated that Richard Hingston is not amused by the relationship. As things stand he will return to resume his duties.

For now we wish Neil Pickup the best of luck and give him our (the CWBCC's) full endorsement.

Absolutely thrilled to have been picked. wow! super squad we have there. Let's show'em boys!.

by the way, I know something about indian food. I'd be very happy to take my fellow squad members to some restraunts during the tour.
And eh....Neil, will it be ok to hang out with some local women?

Too right, and absolutely pleased about it too. I think there may be all that confusion from past discussions Rob...you know, how they tried to take my previously reserved initials and give them to some bird from T.V, who I might say, is no way more famous than I am.

But anyway, well done on Dave who is captain. I always think that spinners make the best captains, coz they usually think a bit more. Niel Pickup, good to have him along as coach. I always think that spinners make he best coaches, coz they usually think a bit more.
