Cricket + Wii = Gold.

True.

I'd count on another 10 sonic games being made for the Wii before we get a cricket game come up on the thinking boards.

Whats the story with that anyways?
Why did Sega sell sonic to Nintendo?
Nintendo bought out Sega completely.

The wink completely through me off, learn to be less rash with your emoticon usage. You're alright, kid.

I am going to break the trend and say it will not work. As a keen follower of cricket games, I will buy a wii if a cricket game comes out on it. But I don't see how the wiimote can impersonate a bat. Surely there is not enough room on the wiimote to hold it and manoever it like a cricket bat. The game would have to take poetic license with the direction of how you move the remote.

Bowling would not work too well either, a lot of bowling is about letting go of the ball and obviously, you cannot let go of the wiimote without breaking something. Without letting go, no swing or spin!

Instead of trying to impersonate cricket, people should play cricket and if they want a much simpler version, playing with international teams or in the world cup, they can play Cricket 07 or BLIC 07 (I know they are not perfect, but you get the idea).

Speaking of a Cricket wii game, I read an interview on IGN and one on planetcricket which both hinted to a Brian Lara wii game heavily, but that's all they did. Codies said have all the tools ready and are pretty much experimenting at this stage and that nothing at all (yet) is confirmed.
