You realise that many on this site think Cook was the worst of the 00s openers and he made a hundred and 71 against Bumrah in his last inning right?
Fun fact -

1- bradman
2- Steve Smith
3- Cook
4- Lara
5- Sachin Tendulkar :D
I had no clue about Hobbs, hutton, Viv etc

And my top 5 Bowlers
Were
1- Dale Steyn
2- McGrath
3- Jimmy Anderson
4- Pat Cummins
5- Josh Hazlewood.
I had no idea about hadlee, Marshall, imran etc.

Okay bro, but remember one thing, Khawaja who is quality wise better than all the 00 openers , failed like a tailender against peak bumrah.
I can see Inzamam is not surviving one over against bumrah.
Bumrah will not survive against Inzamam if he resort to bowling short. But pitching ir up, yes he is in business.

There are no prizes for guessing which quick bowler has bowled the most bouncers in Test cricket since 2006. New Zealand's Neil Wagner is way out in front. Almost one third of his deliveries are bouncers (pitching more than 10 metres from the stumps).

Do you know Wagner is the greatest bowler of bowl short balls?
According to cricviz
Wagner didn't really come up against a player like Aravinda or Inzy. That mode of attack would have been very short lived. They hooked and pulled themsekves to glory against way faster bowlers.

At least, write your own sentences imo, you don't have to copy them from reddit.

what I wanted to say about this topic.......is Graham Thorpe a better player of spin bowling than Garfield Sobers because the prior played and scored against Warne and Murali?

We could say no, because Thorpe was not even in top 10 best players of spin during Murali-Warne era.

as you said earlier in this thread "Viv played pacemen of way greater quality than Bradman and still bashed them." Thorpe averaged 46 in games with Warne and 50 in games with Murali, a similar degree of success as what Viv had against Lillee and Imran, and Sobers never even came close to playing the same level of spin bowling, so why is Gary better/close?

What are averages of Sehwag, Azhar, Sidhu, Tendulkar, Lara in the same regard?
