It did, was quite nervous though that Bumrah might get picked. But he wasn't thankfully.
Be happy JOJO timed out. Though there's another borderline ATG bowler still available. If to criticize anything, it will be Brook, but think he's going to be fine.

Steve Waugh
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Les Ames+
Michael Holding
Clarrie Grimmett
Mutthiah Muralitharan
Sydney Barnes

Decently happy here. Think the openers are solid, MO very strong and well balanced and a good keeper who can bat. Also a good mix of RH/LH and dashing strokemakers/careful grafters. Have 3 ATG bowlers and a top 5 leg spinner though think the bowling could had used a 5th one better than Waugh. Still guess it's as much variety possible with only Right handed bowlers with an offspinner, a legspinner, a medium pacer and an express pacer.
Man, I must say I love all 4 bowlers but Barnes, Holding, Murali and Grum is certainly a very interesting attack...... Murali was too hard to pass on by then.

Steve Smith
Aubrey Faulkner
Mohammad Rizwan
Hedley Verity
Fred Trueman
Joel Garner
Neil Adcock

A couple of compromise picks but pretty happy.

Always say it but these are the best drafts by far.
Langer was such an annoying pick as I could've gotten Smith at that point

A pretty Good XI can be made from just the remaining players:

Graham Gooch
Conrad Hunte
Colin Cowdrey
Martin Crowe
Inzamam-ul-Haq
Clive Rice*
BJ Watling+
Anil Kumble
Alec Bedser
Kagiso Rabada
Brian Statham

The bowling and keeping is legit Great, and Gooch and Crowe are too good for this team. Rabada no doubt the biggest WTF.

To answer the question on Rabada - maybe I underestimated how highly he is rated on here. I actually considered Wagner over him but eventually settled on Starc. In part because I wanted a tiny bit extra batting given Imran Khan at 7, Wasim Akram at 8 - in an ideal world I'd have gone Jadeja at 7, 2 spin options or Bumrah with the gap between him and a Starc seeming to be large. The other reason for Starc/Wagner was considering the old ball. Having a Wagner who could bowl bouncers all day and get scalps with the old ball if necessary was tempting as a proposition once Jadeja/Bumrah were gone - Starc with left arm angle and seeing him used in short bursts with the hope he could produce magic to break a stand made me go in that direction where he could stiffen up the tail a bit.

I didn't actually know Clive Rice was eligible - nothing mentioned about players needing to have played Tests in the OP though I see. Wouldn't mind having him in my team right now instead of say a Starc!

Sorry but Rice was born in 1949. Your last player was Cook, born in 1984. You can't take someone older than Cook any longer. Rice became unavailable for you the moment you took Imran. I actually clarified uncapped players were fair game, and both Fuller Pilch (Fuller Pilch) and Sayon Basak (Vintcent Van der Bijl) took uncapped players. Apologies, I should had stated that in the OP.

Sorry for confusion caused I was just thinking aloud that I wouldn't mind having a Clive Rice instead of say a Starc rather than formally requesting a change to the team. My fault for not thinking outside the box enough in terms of whether uncapped players were allowed or not. I'd actually searched up Fuller Pilch when he was picked but didn't note his lack of a Test cap for some reason.

I haven't done a 2 all-rounder + 3 bowler side in a while. Normally those sides have the likes of Botham/Kapil/Imran, but this is a little different with a bit more batting. I think 3 pace + 2 spin is probably better reflective of cricket history than 4 pace + 1 spin. Could've been improved, but I'm pretty happy with it in the end.
