2nd Test, 1st innings. Straightforward chance to Sobers at slip off Holder on 12. Scored 65.
3rd Test, 1st Innings. Sobers again at slip off Shillingford on 6. Carew at leg-slip off Gibbs on 37. Two further chances unspecified. Scored 116.
4th Test, 2nd innings. "Flawless" 117* against attack lacking penetration.
5th Test. "Technical chances" early on during each innings of 124 and 220.

Turner

I'm well aware of the series and the performances.

The 70's were the tail end of his career. He was surpassed by Barry with his batting and all 3 started to decline.

Which is why his performances against the ROW series were such a surprise. But both were challenges, and like Lara, that brought out the best in him.

But yeah, by the 70's he was mostly worn down from the work load of his bowling.

It was not an indication of his skills during his prime.

And I'm pretty sure you're aware of all of this.
