Best fielding team?

Well it's not right if I don't back my team, so I would say Ireland are the best fielding team. It shows when Amla was talking to Trent Johnston and he said he thought Ireland were the best fielding team in the World Cup, also Dhoni said after beating Ireland that the Irish fielders made the total seem like 240 not 204 ...

They were pretty damn good. Remember being really impressed.

India did look quite sharp over the last month or so. But we can never be sure what India's ODI side is, so it's hard to tell.

If Tendulkar, Sehwag, Yuvraj and Zaheer are all playing, assuming they are all still part of the full strength side, India start to look very slow in the field. That's in addition to the possible players like Harbhajan, Munaf, Sreesanth and Yusuf that made them one of the worst fielding sides at the World Cup.

True, but the fielding in the WC final needs to be seen to be believed. Was electrifying to say the least.

This young team played a major role in the field to beat England 5-0. Actually, India was the better side by quite a mile, in the words of many an expert.
Just because they fielded well this series, doesn't change the fact they have been average to say the least over the past few years, You'd have thought one of the keys to being the best fielding side is consistency, which is where India don't measure up to other sides.
As far as being better than England this series, lets be honest it wasn't that hard, England's fielding was the worst I've seen it, so saying it was better is damning with feint praise imo.

The problem with India is senior legs. They aren't the fastest in the field and on a regular day, Raina and Virat can't do all the diving. But I'm sure we will be a bit more consistent in a couple of years, as most of the youngsters will be regular by then.

As for England, I have no idea what happened to them. They were good 2 months back. Seems like consistency is one common thread that would link the two teams.
