Match Report: Day 2.
England took advantage of the ripe bowling conditions and ripped apart the Bangladesh batting line up to have them 5-70 at tea. Manjural Islam strode to the crease and partnered Aftab Ahmed in a 174 run partnership to save them from a humiliating 1st innings total.
They batted into the second day and at stumps on day 2, Islam is undefeated on 125 with Bangladesh 9 for 313.

Bangladesh spinners crush England's batsmen.
The English batsmen looked at sea against the pairing of Manjural Islam and Elias Sunny.
They scored 137 runs off the pair, who claimed 4 wickets each. Aftab Ahmed grabbed a wicket as did Syed Rasel. Rasel was the only seam bowler to go for less than 4 runs an over (1.95) while the spinners went at under 3rpo.

England were all out after a spirited low order resistance which saw them lift from 7-217 to 317 all out.

At lunch on day 2:

England all out 317
H Ball 81
A Strauss 66
Manjural Islam 4-67
Elias Sunny 4-70

Bangladesh hold on for a draw.
In a match Bangladesh should never have been in a position to lose, England fought back hard to give them a massive scare on the final day.
After a poor bowling performance in the second innings, Bangladesh were set a total of 300 plus on the final day. The top order gave it a shot, and got off to a flyer. But after a few wickets fell, Sonet decided to shut up shop. Unfortunately for him. it wasn't as easy as that. The English seamers found movement that wasn't about the day before, and reduced Bangladesh to 9 down with half a session to play.
Elias Sunny and Sadiqur Rahman hung on to get Bangladesh home, to draw the match and the series.

England all out 317
H Ball 81
A Strauss 66
Manjural Islam 4-67
Elias Sunny 4-70

Bangladesh 9 for 429 declared
Arif Ahmed 164
Rajin Saleh 77
J Anderson 3-115
M Davies 2-95

England 9 for 447 declared

A Strauss 93
Manjural Islam 3-93

England won the toss and sent Bangladesh in

England win on wickets remaining.
In a low scoring match, England managed to beat Bangladesh on the final ball of the day. Steve Harmison hit the winning runs for England as the Bangladesh team looked on in disbelief. Just 2 overs earlier, England needed 18 runs with 2 wickets remaining. 2 top edges for four and one dropped catch of the penultimate over got them within 6. With a single off the first ball of the last, a dropped catch and an LBW appeal off the next two, then a dot ball, then a wicket, England needed 5 to win and 4 to tie. Steve Harmison strolled in and slapped the ball through mid on for four. England won on wickets remaining.
Earlier, Ishraq Sonet had lead from the front with 74, getting out in the final over trying to hit one over the top. The batting looked weak and Sonet held the innings together, giving his bowlers something to defend.

Bangladesh all out 185
Ishraq Sonet 74
Aftab Ahmed 23
M Davies 3-23
S Harmison 3-38

England 9 for 185

haha, yeah. In my other international games I play from time to time I really just play the tests and skip the ODI matches.

We're turning into a decent ODI outfit though, so I'm going to put more time into them!

But we're still ranked 9th in both forms
