I wasn't sure whether to use player's names or their nicknames, I didn't use Statsguru, just went through player's Cricinfo pagesGone for Davo cause why not?
The fact Bill Whitty is on the list - and is called William - make me think Statsguru was involved.
You're just trying to be contrarian.Gone for Davo cause why not?

Which makes it harsh on Jack Ferris, who i assume missed out due to a 50-wicket cutoff. It's clearly done by raw averages though - they are even listed in Test average order.
Well it's hard because of Davidson's premature retirement meaning his career was fairly short, but he was a tremendous bowler on his day and evidently much less of a dickhead than Lillee. You're just trying to be contrarian.
Yeah, was thinking '50 wicket filter', lol.Which makes it harsh on Jack Ferris, who i assume missed out due to a 50-wicket cutoff.
Yh I made a point to list them on their Test average when I was creating the listIt's clearly done by raw averages though - they are even listed in Test average order.
Not sure if you mean John Ferris, but he does have more 50 test wickets, I'll add him to the listWhich makes it harsh on Jack Ferris, who i assume missed out due to a 50-wicket cutoff.

People called him Jack - and he only got 48 wickets for Australia. His other 13 were for England. Not sure if you mean John Ferris, but he does have more 50 test wickets, I'll add him to the list
Oh ok, didn't know thatPeople called him Jack - and he only got 48 wickets for Australia. His other 13 were for England.
That's recency bias. Lindwall inspired a whole generation of imitators if some of the actions going around Australia in the fifties are anything to go by.Dennis Lillee , it's not just about ability that makes you great , impact on a generation..He was iconic in every way , inspired a whole generation to take up fast bowling, great headband as well..Never say die attitude, the best qualities of an Australian cricketer .
From my generation obviously, I can't tell you impact about players I never watched live .That's recency bias. Lindwall inspired a whole generation of imitators if some of the actions going around Australia in the fifties are anything to go by.
Well I never watched Lillee live, so his media presentation isn't an influencing factor for me. Ultimately, I want the best bowlers. From my generation obviously, I can't tell you impact about players I never watched live .
