A marvellous BT bug has landed Dynamo Morpork with more than 100 fixtures in the next round of the Cup, to be played simultaneously. How will Mister Vimes cope? With more than 1,000 players required for the weekend of death, will he be permitted to run his youth academy on overdrive, churning out foetus after wicketkeeping foetus to be sent, still in nappies, to the field of play? We can but hope.

Some good pops this week. Bernard is my first 30k+ BTR player.

Why do you have two keepers mate, bit of waste of wages. It might not matter now, but once your players improve it might effect you more. Personally I would sell one and buy a specialist batsmen. You might even get a better standard specialist batsmen.

Pretty sure he just bought that second keeper (Badenhorst) last week because he was going exceedingly cheap and with a few weeks of stamina training could get a handy profit on him.

I was just looking through some sides of guys that don't post much here anymore for various reasons. I just noticed that Rodgie got banned from BT, for continual breaking of rules while Pakistan NT manager. He side hasn't turned bot yet, so I guess he still trying to sort something out. I'm sure those who pay greater attention to sledging would have more idea what happened or talk to him on MSN, but that is what I read.

Apparently, there was two things that eventually got him ousted:

1) He called up someone during the Dual Nationality bug. According to Rodgie, he was really close to qualifying anyway, and the news item about the bug hadn't been put up yet, so he didn't know. I sort of find that hard to believe but meh, it's definately feasible as an excuse.

2) He said that some of the admin's and mod's should be dumped from the team on the Dev Ideas board. Meh from me, who cares.

All in all, it's pretty pissweak for mine. Dump him from the NT job maybe, but booting him from the game seems excessive. I realise he has past issues, like dual accounts and everything, but meh.

Nope, just team morale and members' and sponsors' confidence (plus TFL back when it existed). Which is a pity, because my second-best bowler is now entering his second straight season without ever having been above mediocre bowling form, most of that time spent at worthless.

For some reason, McGregor, my third best batsman (he performs MUCH better than his stats suggest), has been on rubbish form for a while now -- despite being played every week, he's been Worthless for a good while now. Since his form dropped, he's been rubbish.

In contrast, most of my lot manage to stay Proficient+ as long as they get played regularly, with the occasional dip.

I agree that form shouldn't be reset -- if you rest a player through the whole off-season, it's only right that his form's no good for the next. The off-season (and BT20) is a significant part of the game, financially and on the pitch.

Well, it's certainly not a patch on PFL; as a rule of thumb I generally assess it as about a loss of 1 and a half levels of primary on worthless form (which is, I realise, not "nearly no effect", but still). There's no question that Pead's still my second-best bowler, whereas he'd only have to drop to lively PFL before that's probably not true any more. He comfortably outperformed every other bowler but two in my league last season, but that was in div V. I expect his dire form to be much more noticeable (and thus much more of a pain) now he's mixing it with batsmen mostly at or around his level.

Duggan had the same curse ruin his season last season. Inspite of taking the field for every one day match his form dipped to worthless, and remained worthless for a quite a while before rebounding back to superb. Really annoying
