No, I have to get under 350k by next Saturday, but I'm bleeding cash without income, and I want to get back making money ASAP, but the team's survival is THE priority, I've put far too much time and love into this game to lose my team to money.

Aww I see. As much as it would please my mate for your team to die (he's in your FC league), hope you sort it out. I know iv only been playing 6 months but id be gutted if I lost my team too.

jesus, jameee. personally, i think you need to build up at least 2.5mil before seasons end, otherwise you're playing a very dangerous game.

Got a pretty crap draw in the cup and I'm facing another Div 3 side from Sri Lanka, Jaffna8 CC.

Code:
End of Over 50: 313-7, runrate=6.26
Schutte 10-0-70-2
Morley* 26 (16 balls)
Chamara 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Perera b. Schutte 0 (FOW: 311/7)
Chaseable but need some big runs from my Top 4. I don't think their bowling attack is that good, so it should be interesting.

jamee, when you've got your side to the stage its currently at, i would have thought you'd have considered 1.6mil the absolute mininum, so that you're able to gobble up that extra 80k in interest each week. living with just 300k in the bank just seems daft to me.

BARNES OUT
03/02/2008 (Cup) Central Districts v Unhappy Meals

Whose idea was it to make the cup draw random? You're a ****head, whoever that is. Finally get out of Div V to make a decent cup run and then I get this.

This random cup draw is ****ed, I just got knocked out of first round.

JAFFNA8 CC 7/313(50)
Hirst 4/64(10), Schutte 2/70(10)

Tamil Eelam CC 2/284(50)
Talior 128(149), Carter-harris 119(131)

Tamil Eelam CC JAFFNA8 CC
Top Order: strong strong
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable proficient
Spin Bowling: feeble competent
Fielding: woeful woeful

Schutte had his worst game ever for club which didn't help. Tailor and Carter-Harris scored too slow, but they were on attacking. Overall better team but that's bloody annoying. Best rating ever though.

I like the idea of a random cup draw...It's a cup that how it should be.

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 43: 105-10, runrate=2.44
Ross 6-2-19-2
Selope* 2 (11 balls)

Experimented with GFI today as a means of saving PFL, on the basis that skittling a team for 10-20 even on a GFI is likely to cost less fitness than having them drag their way to 50+. Certainly doesn't seem to have done any harm, anyway - not one player dropped from sublime after a 13-over match.

And now I've drawn a bot at home next week (three home matches in one week - ace). Could be looking at a record-breaking cup run this season, without needing to be actually good at any point. :)

Got another bot next round in cup, watch me get a Div One side when I get a real team.

I was just looking through some sides of guys that don't post much here anymore for various reasons. I just noticed that Rodgie got banned from BT, for continual breaking of rules while Pakistan NT manager. He side hasn't turned bot yet, so I guess he still trying to sort something out. I'm sure those who pay greater attention to sledging would have more idea what happened or talk to him on MSN, but that is what I read.

The other sides I looked at were Damleny CC and College Dropouts. Both won their Div Three titles last season, but lost their playoff. Looks like both are both back on track. Interesting thing is that my side doesn't seem that far off those guys. But it does look like ratings are getting a lot closer for most Div 3-4 sides in Australia and England.

A marvellous BT bug has landed Dynamo Morpork with more than 100 fixtures in the next round of the Cup, to be played simultaneously. How will Mister Vimes cope? With more than 1,000 players required for the weekend of death, will he be permitted to run his youth academy on overdrive, churning out foetus after wicketkeeping foetus to be sent, still in nappies, to the field of play? We can but hope.
