Good on you Sriram. Not the ***-kicking I was hoping for, but atleast you won:D

Fordham 74, Crowe 32

Strong Arm Steady 191-1
Butcher 1-45, Groves 0-30

Sorry display all around. In hindsight I probably should have batted second.

Excellent. Seven-wicket win in front of the home crowd to keep me in title contention.

Interestingly, my "attacking" opening bowlers took one wicket for 88 between them...Harris, Beechers and Lewis, poorer bowlers and on defensive, shared seven for 108 with six maidens...

Had a pretty easy nine-wicket win, happy with that result considering I was TIE'ing and the team I played wasn't that much worse than me.

Martinique Serpents 250-6
Louis 2-30, Watkins 1-36, Malik 1-46, Poole 1-48, Ryan 1-75

Asterix XI 251-1 (43 overs)
Cuss 134* (122), Ashton 71* (109), Wynand 30 (30)

Fairly high scoring for an uneven pitch. His gun batsman lasted 50 overs and made 111*, could've been a lot worse if he had more strike though. Ryan's figures show how much I need a proper fifth bowler, he gets hammered every week (though partly because he usually bowls in the last 10).

Code:
	[B]Asterix XI Martinique Serpents[/B]
Top Order: strong superb
Middle Order: respectable mediocre
Lower Order: woeful woeful
Seam Bowling: strong competent
Spin Bowling: proficient useless
Fielding: feeble feeble
Sitting in 5th at the moment with 2 wins, 2 losses. Playing 7 and 8 in the next two matches so should be able to improve that position, I'll be happy to finish 4th at the end of the season and avoid a relegation playoff.

Should be able to beat my cup opponents on TIE, though it could be fairly close:

Trespassers W
Top Order: proficient
Middle Order: competent
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable
Spin Bowling: useless
Fielding: woeful

Okay Hingster, I challenged you at your home ground. I probably won't be around for most of the weekend, and definately not on Sunday until after the game finishes.

Our ratings are pretty even minus your top order being way better than mine, I assume without Mcamamamon, or whatever his name is, it'll drop significantly, seeing as though he's a remarkable, but I doubt it'll drop enough. Saunders will pound my bowlers. Strong/Prof/Comp/Med/Med isn't good enough to contain him, not even close.

Anywho, see you guys on Sunday if you decide to accept.
Accepted. Not sure if will rest Mccammon or not, depends on his fitness but most likely he will not play. Saunders will probably carve up the meds and comps but the strong and proficient might get him.

Hope we can get some decent money.

End of Over 50: 387-2, runrate=7.74
Chorley 10-0-61-1
Bissmire* 155 (134 balls)
Buckle 178 (134 balls)

They are 35/3 after 10

That is all

Please don't play him :(

how long does the cup go for?
It lasts for the whole season, but it's a knockout thing so stronger teams, like Adam's, PY's Nibbs' teams, normally stay in the cup for a while. Once you're knocked out, you can play friendlies which don't have any real effect on your team fitness, and draw pretty insignificant crowds. Cup matches, however, are just like real matches in that you can TIE, PAN or GFI, and you actually get decent crowds.

What a win, in front of a crowd of only 4400 Drunk XI post their biggest score in the club's history, Jimbob Superpants reports:

On a green Dingen CG this was the result
Drunk XI 387/2
Buckle 178* (135)
Bissmire 155* (134)

Dynamig Dingens 110 ao
Ditman 33* (38)
Gilroy 3/17
Muirhead 3/20

Reporter's Summary
Dynamig Dingens Drunk XI
Top Order: abysmal mediocre
Middle Order: abysmal feeble
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: abysmal feeble
Spin Bowling: feeble mediocre
Fielding: woeful woeful

MOTM: Buckle 178*

and that takes Drunk XI 1st in IV.10 and 44th in the promotion table with a NRR of 8.82
Buckle's explosive hitting put him first in the league batting averages
and the highest individual score a Drunk XI player has made
in the biggest team score

also 29,213 fans payed £214,705 in gate receipts tipping the bank up to £1,010,522. this results leaves us top of the table after 4 rounds, unbeaten and looking unstoppable. the parallels with last season however are dynamic. so i don't want to get carried away just yet. not much else to add. just we'll be TIE in the cup on monday easing into round 6 with a sublime team fitness level   . Whether we advance to round 7 though will be an entirely different question

my cup match will be fought out on a hard and fast pitch, so i've got a lot of faith that my side should prove far too strong. hamshaw will be taking the field so i expect even on a TIE my batting will these so called zulu warriors

As much as I enjoy being put in with those two, I'm nowhere near good enough to be.

Having said that though, I am still in the Cup.

Gotta love bots.

To be fair, I did add you in as an afterthought, but you hardly do badly in the CW Cup.
