Yup:
1971: Poor
1974: Fine
1979: ATG
1982: Poor (but 3 inns only)
1986: Poor
he also had one county season and it was surprisingly bad for a batsman of his stature, IIRC he averages 34 and only got two hundreds in 23 innings. Definitely didn't like English pitches.

as far as First Class Cricket goes, Gavaskar averaged 43 in England and Merchant averaged 62, though Merchant's big England session came right after the war so I can't vouch for the bowling quality.

Like if Donald George Bradman is DG Bradman, why does Rahul Sharad Dravid being RS Dravid bug you?? I have tried a plethora of naming conventions, and it's like the best of the worst. Also re Murali: Deshbandhu is a title, it's like naming Hutton, SL Hutton
Yes honestly it does. Its not the name they’ve used on scorecards, its not the name I’ve seen over and over on statsguru and other websites, like cmon.

Ok so no balls started getting counted against bowler stats in late 1983.
I like how its only brought up when talking about Willis.

Also shoutout to Grum, who apparently bowled a single no ball in his entire FC career. Key part of his bowling philosophy.

If both Procter and Dev make this team, which I think is likely, then the keeper should bat at 6. By original choice was Waite, but don't think he is suited there, let alone Healy. So Flower or Pant??
