Kallis isn’t a number 6 batsman.Yeah it won't be close. What a shame, lost opportunity.
In 3rd team, maybe we could have got Kallis(who is also an AR) at 4 and Waugh or Border at number 6.

Because he is not ahead of Smith or Lara as a batsman.Too bad! You guys didn't pick him in the middle order... so can't complain now.
Didn't need to pick Hammond though..Because he is not ahead of Smith or Lara as a batsman.
He isn't good enough frankly to be in the second team as a pure bat and they are picking him for no.6 because that's where the Sobers batting AR position is so they want to mirror the first team. Though I agree he should have been asked about first and then positioned later.Too bad! You guys didn't pick him in the middle order... so can't complain now.
Then he should have been picked at 4 and someone like Border at 6He isn't good enough frankly to be in the second team as a pure bat and they are picking him for no.6 because that's where the Sobers batting AR position is so they want to mirror the first team. But he clearly is not a no.6 or a lower order bat. In fact he is the least desirable type of batsman for that position.
Hammond is clearly a better bat. And Hammond the bowler isn't far off from Kallis. Hammond and Kallis shouldn't be in the same team, it's an overlap frankly.Didn't need to pick Hammond though..
Plus Kallis is only marginally behind Lara and Smith as a batter, but he is also a proper 4th bowler who bowled at genuine pace when he was younger and was still bowling at 130-135 kmph even in his late 30s. As an overall cricketer he is well ahead. So I would be willing to lose 1-2 avg points in batting to gain a genuine seamer like him.
I agree, I think Border at 6 makes sense if you think the bowling is sufficient and don't need Miller. Then he should have been picked at 4 and someone like Border at 6
In this team, you would just bat Kallis @4, where he was amazing, and Lara @6, where he would be amazing.Kallis isn’t a number 6 batsman.

Miller would have been 7.Miller/Botham at #6 feels a bit high
Then why are we being asked to pick a no.6/7?In this team, you would just bat Kallis @4, where he was amazing, and Lara @6, where he would be amazing.
It's the same way Imran ended up in the second team despite being CWs 3rd best cricketer. No way Kallis ends up in the 3rd team being one of the very top cricketers of all time. Absolute legend.
And not sure whether he'll make the third as wellGrace is not in the first 2 teams altogether after being CW's 4th greatest crickter ever
Yeah well I don't rate Grace tooGrace is not in the first 2 teams altogether after being CW's 4th greatest crickter ever
Kallis took 1.76 wickets per match.Hammond the bowler isn't far off from Kallis.
We aren't picking an entire order to allow flexibility in selections. That's how you get unbalanced teams. It's the same way Imran ended up in the second team despite being CWs 3rd best cricketer.
