AFL Dream Team 2006

Got 1860 in my main DT with a handy 1803 in the CW one.

Lavy Panthers supremely beneficial of a very easy run early on in the season one must say.

Wayde Skipper, Beau Waters have been good. Just got Matthew Robbins last week, who is down to $150K, so he should go up as the season goes on. Jason Gram has been handy, and Jarrad Rooke great value.

In my CW League, my buy of Lovett Murray was great, more so in SC but he's done very well in DT as well. Took a gamble with the big Fev and that paid dividends too.

In my main DT Ben Hart has been brilliant, and whilst Johncock has fallen in value I still reckon he's done exactly what I wanted from him.

Yeah but Bateman did it last year before his injury to be fair. Still a good buy, but I went solely on Johncock's pre-season form. Whenever Hart kicks it to Johncock or vice versa I just smile :D

Next week is going to be tough though, because Adelaide are playing my Tigers. I have Hart, Johncock, Biglands and of course the Birdman Burton in my main Dream Team, gonna be tough when they start mauling us. :(

I like my Birdman buy as well (other than his suspension), only around 4000 people have him in the whole league.

The worst buy has been Joel Bowden, who has gone down 54k to 310, and has only been an average scorer so far.
Yeah you've been unlucky because he's been playing key position defender the last 3-4 weeks because of our lack of a backline. Particularly against Sydney when he was literally centre half back and couldn't roam free and provide drive and run from the half-back line.

I'm glad Bowdos has gone down though, because he was great last year and at $310 he is great value. I'll likely pick him up in a week or two.

I don't have Hart in my team, but he'd be good value I imagine, as his value wouldn't have been too high after missing most of last season. He's always been one of my favourite players, but I've been surprised at how well he's played this year. His agility and pace are awesome for a guy who has played over 300 games already, and he's really looking like he has 2 or 3 more seasons in him, at least. Could end up pushing 400.

He's first in marks and third in kicks for Adelaide, behind Goodwin and McLeod, and ahead of the likes of Edwards, Thompson and Burton. That alone shows how good he has been.

Hotting up. The Panthers slip up and the Things up to 3rd on %
. Sean and Miles still unbeaten. The Yack Roos are my disappointment of the season.

Henry's Dream - experienced the "Bowden Bump" this round, as he scored about 600 points on his own, anyone who had him got a good score.

Picked up Akermanis on the cheap due to his falling price, trading away Greg Stafford. Good trade, that. Unless he gets dropped again, that is.

Traded Richo for Nick Davis. Getting Richo in the first place was one of the worst moves I've made in my illustrious DT career.

How many trades do people have left? I curently have 17.

Just traded Wayde Skipper for Darren Jolly, so 16 trades left now. Several other players' places in the side are being reviewed also; Matthew Maguire leading that bunch.

Look, definately. They boasted many new signings coming into the season and looked the goods during pre-season. It's just sad, something has obviously gone wrong along the way and it's terrible to see such a great unit stoop so low.

They'll come good, they're known for their slow starts, remember back in '93?

With Bowdos again roaming around free in the backline you can't go wrong

Picked up Bowden in my main DT this week. Was going to pick him up last week but his break even score was something like 140. Thought he was never going to reach that so decided to wait one more week where he'd fall below $300k. Little did I know he'd take 20 marks, 19 of those uncontested against Adelaide lol.
