* When a player is loaned, the team that borrows him must play him at least twice in their XI.
I don't think this should have any bearing on the matter at all, you loan in a player becasue you want to you will obviously try and get better players than you have so will play them... but if you don't then I don't see why you should be punished. Afterall we don't punish sides that don't play their full squad through a season do we.

I think you loan in a player becasue you want to and if you play him fair enough, but if you don't so be it.

As one of my first thoughts was maybe I could loan a 2nd WK (who wouldn't player) in, meaning I would get to pick an extra player (in a sense) during the draft.

Yea summarising the whole issue which i reckon should be introduced.

A player should be made available for loan from any team on a 1-1 , 2-2 , temporary 1 season contracts..

No additional costs nothing..

Basically gives the chances for big clubs to help out the newer and developing clubs, in return their player might benefit playing a key role for the tiny club

There cant seem to be a flaw in it, so if some good names move around to other tiny clubs the competition level will almost even up instead of say , 6 strong teams and 2 weak teams

Its not a must .

And if the player is say after 1 more season he might retire he can go on loan to another team and come back before he retires , OR whoever comes in place for that retired person automatically belongs to the Club where the retired dude belonged to , because the club with the retired dude gets the replacement and the other club gets back their player since the Term is over.

I agree.I dont think restrictions on he must play 2 games are really necessary.

this is the only part i don't agreee with. i think loan's shouldn't have to be even at all. i'm sure say Mumbai could aford to hav a 15 man squad and get one of their rookeis experienced at a lower club etc. 1 for 1 sorta defeats the whole purpose of a loan.
The doesnt go down well with the sim sorry! The sim needs to have 16 players in all squads at all times. :(
Besides I think it would become a problem for maintaining all the player movements.

And not 1 for 1 ruins the whole 16 man squad thing.

But aren't the rules that you must draft in 2 WK's (although they can be part-timers such as Dravid)?

As far as I know that's not changed, but all that has changed is that there is now a distinction in the sim between specialists and non-specialists?

Um that's what I said, if I have my one specilist keeper I need a 2nd so what I could do is loan in a rubbish keeper who would never play (bar injuries) meaning I have 2 keepers in my team and rather than use a pick in the draft to pick a keeper up I could go after a different player that I actually needed say a batsman for example

No distinctions made between full/part timers marc. The format used doesnt allow for tht. I think I informed GB abt it.

That's what I was suggesting, but it should only be 2 loans at a time (ie you can loan players at the start and at the middle of the season), because then it'll be easier to keep track of who has who. However, you can end up with 4 borrowed people at the end of the season.

eg You borrow Howarth and DeJong at the start of the season (for a full season) and then you borrow Darden and Balaji at mid-season (for the rest of the season), you will have 4 'foreign' players on your roster for the second half of the season.
