Example selecting prasidh krishna ahead of yudhvir singh who was 3rd highest wicket taker in ranji(spinners dominant) and selecting likes of sai sudharshan ahead of baba indrajith(averages 50) durv jurel. Sai Sudarshan has long been seen as the next test bat for India, before any IPL heroics. Just seen as having a more portable technique for the international game. Same with Prasidh. Domestic cricket skills are not the same as being successful in the international game (see Ajay Sharma)
