This is good test cricket, even when not much is happening it's still more exciting than the Tour de France unless their is a crash which just happened.

Gill approaching 700 runs for the series.
Rahul just a few runs from 500 runs for the series.
Pant 21 runs from 500 runs for the series.

Can't think when was the last time 3 batters of the same team went past 500+ runs in a series.

The ball is starting to keep a bit low now but that should suit the Indian batsmen as it is more like an Indian pitch, not as much spin though.

Morcambe and Wise, they were a great English duo.

They were a bit before my time though.

It was Smith and Jones or Hale and Pace back m my day.

I think Jones might have been Welsh though which rules him out.

Give credit where due. Rahul and Gill have played a courageous resistance. India's performance this series has left much to be desired, especially when seizing the crucial moments. But no one can deny the level of heart and determination.

Good effort by the England bowlers as well.

Fantastic batting from Gill and Rahul. Played through the tough phase and cashed in when batting got easier, classic test match batting. Saved India from a potential innings defeat (still on the cards though)

A great effort from Rahul and Gill to get to stumps, could they be the next Laxman and Dravid circa 2001 against the Aussies and turn a loss into a win.

A long way to go yet.

They need to double the efforts tomorrow. Basically we need two Mile Atherton innings to save us.

good to see yet another match go to day 5 still alive though. This is test cricket.
