Arshdeep has been ruled out and Akashdeep too looks likely to be rested/ruled out. Anshul Kamboj has been added to the squad.
I really hope that they go for Kamboj instead of Krishna if that's the choice they have to make
Kamboj looked alright in the A game. Bit slow but maybe we should stop attribute picking since its not served us well.

Whatever it takes!!!
I guess if Kambhoj does play the last test, they may finally play Kuldeep as this guy can bat 8.

Also, looks like NKR is out of the series as well. Pretty bad luck, but I guess it makes it easier with Jurel coming in for NKR and Prasidh coming in for Akashdeep. Dont foresee many more changes.

Kuldeep for who though? Jadeja hasn’t pulled up any trees with the ball but he’s been very important with the bat, Washington has done a good job all-round, 3 spinners in England is unnecessary. Someone was once asked for advice for spinners in England, their answer was ‘learn to bat’

If Kamboj is there at 9, then you don't need Sundar's batting anymore... And Kuldeep can bat a bit too... Also being the better spinner easily
Would be harsh on Washington as he’s done very well since coming into the team, but I didn’t realise Kuldeep averaged 21 at FC level, that’s more than acceptable at number 8

I don't think Sundar is going to be dropped after what he did in the last game. I don't think a bowler on debut with a FC average of 16 is going to inspire that much confidence in being able to weaken the lower order either.

You would have thought though that Kuldeep won't be seeing a too friendly pitch for spin. Just a simple situation with the rain having come. OT had a tradition of offering spin on days 4 and 5, but even so I wouldn't have thought it would be THAT helpful for spinners nonetheless. From an English point of view, the weather should mean the seamers come into play again a bit more, especially compared with the first two tests.

I know nothing about Kamboj but I assume most people are picking him purely because he couldn't be worse than Krishna

I've actually watched him quite a bit tbh. In ranji, IPL and the A games vs Eng Lions. He's India's most consistent and accurate bowler imo after Bumrah and very good specifically for English conditions.
Even before the start of the series, I wanted the Bumrah-Akash-Kamboj trio
