I don't think that's unique to India. Pretty sure it's the case across cricket that dismissals are more common between 100-109 than in the 90s. Root got out for 104 just yesterday.
The drama of the 90s is such a great part of the game too, it's sport at its weirdest and best. I don't know why people would want to diminish that or take it away.

But it didn't? It was Pant's call. He was the one who decided to commit to the single. Yes, Rahul wanted him to come through, but it was ultimately Pant who ran himself out.
Rahul gave him a weird look and had a word when Pant denied him a double off the 1st ball. So it put pressure on Pant to put Rahul back on strike!

It absolutely matters if it was his call...? That makes the run out his responsibility. Not Rahul's.
If Rishabh wanted Rahul to get to a 100 before lunch with only 3 deliveries to go, you need to question the team's priorities. It's silly cricket no matter what.

Besides as pointed out, Rahul was pretty upset in the previous delivery prior to the run out that Pant didn't run two.

Are these professional cricketers or kids? Oh no, he gave you a look. You still yell "no" and stand your ground instead of taking a dubious single to one of the most dangerous fielders in the opposition team.

It hardly did that though. All it did was make Pant make a mistake. That's all.
That’s the point. Pant shifted his objective in that moment to get KL his hundred before lunch rather than batting as he normally might otherwise. Which sure, is nice and selfless of him but it led to a risky single. Instead, he could have played his normal game and gone for a risky 6.

Duke's owner explains ball making process and allegations

I didn't know that the Duke's owner was an Indian man since 1980's - should this put to bed the endless allegations about **** cricket balls? The man seems visibly irritated that his company is getting bashed around like this.
They've changed their leather supply and probably to a cheaper supplier.

So basically Brexit/COVID/War on Russia leading to the greed and everything going up in price in the UK.

Are we sure it has anything to do with milestones or have India just plain forgotten how running between wickets works?

Maybe he shouldn't have celebrated his hundred after all!
A simple raise of the bat was enough especially considering he was half responsible for that run out and giving the momentum back to England. And now potentially ruining India's chances of a series win.

how effortlessly is Archer throwing down these rockets, and look how much Wood gives it to basically bowl the same speed

You guys need to understand from an Indian perspective and how Indian media, advertisers glorify 'popular' individuals over the team to maximise viewership. This ultimately plays into the psyche of your average viewer much to the point that everything's fine as long as your favorite player does well. There is a superstar culture across industries in India. It becomes a problem if it comes in the way of achieving bigger goals. RCB is a very good example of that.
