Normally I agree, but special players get special treatment and that is the case for pretty much all sports. Saffers can spin his exclusion as much as they want, however ultimately he is is an absolute elite player who they needed if they were serious about this event.

Spirit in the camp wouldn't be an issue if AB was their and helping them win games.
AB had form for picking choosing his tours, kidding yourself if ya reckon it would have made zero difference.

This is disastrous. Miller is a better bat. He doesn't explode or implode as often as Afridi though.
Every time he comes to the crease everyone's like "woah, Miller's here! He could take it away!"

And then he gets out a few overs later. Waste man.

Miller is a classic slippy wasteman. Plays a good knock in the IPL, or against the Aussies once in a blue moon and lives off it forever.

5 hundreds with an average of close to 40 and strike rate of 100 says otherwise. Not saying he is a top bat. Good enough to be in most modern teams except possibly England.

Whoever ruled against De Villiers been in the world cup squad should be shot. He in a gimp suit with a strap-on stuck to his face would still out bat most of these mugs.

Also, AB wouldve come in in place of van der Dussen who has been one of their few bright spots in the batting lineup.
