Do you think it makes a difference here? India have batted and bowled much better than England
England's bowling was crap but I think if they had batted first they'd batted better much better in the absence of scoreboard pressure. Totally different game from then on. Really need to find better bowlers though.

At what point does Stokes position as one of the top 6 batters get questioned. He is averaging less then Crawley over the last 2 years.

Yeah the attack is a worry. Woakes probably a bit unlucky with his first innings figures. I like Carse but don’t think you can have him and Tongue in the team at the same time. Atkinson a big miss. Archer and Wood make a difference sure, but it’s basically a bonus if you have either of them

ffs Woakes. @Red_Ink_Squid ban yourself

Also, India's bowlers don't have the filip of almost 600 runs to play with.

As for your last point, who knows. Maybe one for after this test is over.
Oh, and Woakes is gone, so that shouldn't take very long now.

What is the point of setting 600 if you're gonna have this staggered cordon ****? Such a defensive mindset.

Hopefull Gill realizes soon what kind of captain he wants to be. The early signs are fairly middling and reactive.
I think he's done fine. That plan with there Prasidh worked perfectly.

Woakes needs a rest. Has bowled rubbish and batting is a shadow of its former self. Dawson and Atkinson would be an upgrade on Woakes and Bashir.
