Yeah agreed. His batting looks as good as his bowling to me.I don't think know how Sam Elliott keeps taking all these hauls. He doesn't look that good
No I don't find it weird. Domestic and A team limited overs performances haven't meant anything for years. Our selectors have a cohort they choose from and that's that.On a side not, anyone find it weird renshaw hasn't been in any whiteball squads over the past few years?
Australia's treatment of List A cricket is frankly shocking. By going all in on T20 it's hard for guys who are best in the 50 over format to get a look-in. Which given how old our World Cup side was is a problem. No I don't find it weird. Domestic and A team limited overs performances haven't meant anything for years. Yeah not too flash that. All those with the best averages either tend to be those around the setup already or others who have had opportunities but have largely failed internationally when they did. Aside from Konstas of course (still 100% of the view he should have never been anywhere near the Test team in the first place with that little to go on at FC level) I can't really find fault with any of the other selections based on those figuresBased on a post I made in the tour thread, here's the Shield averages for a selection of batters over the last four years:

Yeah....makes for grim reading.
Young guy from QueenslandWhat is a Zanden Jeh
Definitely, I looked it up just after the last shield season ended and he's averaged under 30 for the past 3 seasons. I thought he had been dropped for the final but it was just the birth of his child.Renshaw is lucky to be a regular for Queensland as his fc stats for them have been dreadful for a couple of seasons
The fact SL-A only managed 280 odd against that attack is a bit embarrassing. Thornton is a shield standard bowlers. Perries probably the next best bowler in that attack and he's more jack wildermuth bowling all-rounder territory.First four day match was on today (not that I remembered). The Aus A bowling was so weakened by injuries (I presume) and absences that a Tasmanian called Louis Smith who was playing club cricket in Darwin got an FC debut.
