Those are supposed to be throwaway ( or maybe for sale *wink *wink ), votes. I can't honestly say I've done enough analysis to fairly determine who the next best is, after a top 20-25 or so. Philander is the only one I feel is being really aggrieved by dropping so low.

A bit disappointing the number of voters (11) this roundf. The fact that we still had 16 nominations is indicative of how difficult separating those towards the end of a poll becomes.

After failing to appear in the 2022 pacers poll, Philander now ranks 27th in that category. Was he overlooked for the same reasons that Barnes and Bedser were? Botham takes the next spot by virtue of having 5 nominations compared to Bishop and Lyon with 3 each. They share 43rd place overall.
Compared with the 2022 standings (and disregarding the addition of Barnes, Bedser and Philander), Botham is up 7 places, Bishop down 2 and Lyon up 3.
