1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

International Regular
He kind of makes a good dynamic with Duckett and there are no great openers in the country that provide a significant upgrade.
Olly Pope as an opener and Bethell in? Seems an upgrade to me.
Anyway, English fans have nothing to complain about Zak today!

Johan

International Coach
how much of CW wanted him out of the team (myself included) when at the start of the CC he had a lean run of 50 runs in 6 innings ... is he just a man for the big occasion ?
just wildly inconsistent, problem is his replacements are people like Hasan Hameed and Dom Sibley, neither really Bazball and Duckett-Crawley makes a pretty dynamic partnership. Midget-Giant, Left-right, both have a very very different scoring area and different strokeset, Crawley drives and hooks while Duckett plays square of the wicket and pulls. Bowlers have to change lines constantly when they start going like this

England are gonna win this by 10 wickets wtf
Yeah there’s been very limited cases of the batters being uncomfortable or wicket chances being created atm, even when Bumrah’s bowling. Limited swing despite supposed favourable conditions. Wonder what’s happened.

I must say the India kit with Adidas always looks very well put together and professional. England's castore nonsense does not give me that same feeling one bit.

Thinking ahead to the Ashes, can we afford to risk losing our first wicket before 20 runs are scored 6/10 times for the 5 tests?
