Not the best performance with the bat there but good knocks from Samaraweera, Laxman and Haider seem to have helped our cause. Expected more overs from Mendis there and didn't see Siddle as being such a big threat.

EDIT: Just saw our bowling effort. Things look grim for us now.

It's classic Siddle tbh. Very realistic - put some extra pressure or extra responsibility on him for a particular match and he always does well.

Oh. Missed that. Very disappointed with the bowling in the first innings. Cost us the game.

Pleased to win our first game of the season. A decent fightback by Good at BJ's CC at the second attempt with the bat made things a little tight.

Roach is likely to get the drop after the first two games. It is a slight worry that Siddle and Mendis are the only two bowlers to show any form, and Mendis has only proved worthy at knocking the tail over.

Ashwin will be lucky to get too many other chances. This wicket was supposed to help spinners so I'm disappointed.

As for the batting I thought Thirimanne was going to be replaced after a game. However Tiwary's form has been terrible even in comparison so I have to make a decision on which of the two are going to sit out the next game.

Will consider him on a spinning turf but Gul has spent enough time on the bench now.

Put up the new lineup. VVS gets a promotion up the batting order to strengthen the top order slightly. Manoj Tiwary finds himself dropped in place of Brendan Nash. As indicated earlier, Gul gets a game ahead of Ashwin. Will be watching Thirimanne's performance for this one.
