    All-Time World XIs: Discussion Thread

We've not voted in a Pollock for a while. Probably about time for another Pollock.

*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

    1-4 England imo.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Rehan Ahmed has been on a bit of a tear domestically, might be tempting to go with the leg spinner in the Ashes. But more likely is that Stokes continues to back Bashir. (Rehan'd also be eaten alive by Smith and Head incidentally, but he'd score more runs than Bashir!)

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Good point Daemon, another moral victory to England.

*Official* India tour of England 2025 General Discussion

This is about right. Biggest surprise positive was Stokes' bowling, though obviously tempered by another injury there. That and Archer being fit enough to play Tests again. Biggest underperformer relative to expectation was probably Carse given how well he bowled in the winter, but not sure if...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Yeah probably that one. The 3-0 home win against NZ in the original Bazball series was a great result too considering NZ were Test champions at the time and England were at such a low point coming into it. Geat matches that series too. Winning away in NZ is also something we hadn't done in...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Seems reasonable, Tongue the only question mark? Judging on this series you'd definitely flip Stokes and Jadeja in the batting order.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Agree, don't mind the aggressive batting philosophy, it's helped us much more than it's hurt us. Selection more of an issue, mainly the bowling but please get Bethell to play some cricket.

What we learned from the 5th Test

Technically, we went 2-1 down to India at home under Silverwood and are 3-2 up under McCullum!

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Brook's bowling at Old Trafford sealed it.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Deliberately not included as it makes the result too obvious.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Need a "bigger heart" poll: Siraj vs Wagner vs Siddle.

Indian fans love Gambhir now, right?

Might not be able to with his arm.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Again: this is such a ridiculous match. Love it.
  18. Red_Ink_Squid

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

We should get a wicket back for the decision being so bad
