    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Channelling Brett McKenzie's legendary diss track: Zak Crawley ...is not very good.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Maybe if we bat long enough Carse will even be fit to bowl.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

We usually win the matches in this series where Bumrah plays. So we should be fine, right?

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Yeah I agree. I reckon if Atkinson had been fit to go and/or the selectors had more faith in Overton or Cook, Carse would have been rested for sure. Hopefully the pitch isn't so flat as it's a pretty patched together attack we're fielding (plus an ineffective Bashir).

    Harry brook era

He's pretty good but I consider us to still be in the Chris Woakes Era.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Thing is, Atkinson doesn't seem to be match fit yet either.

*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Eh, he's the stand in captain for the stand in captain, and not a big name superstar. I can sorta understand him feeling a bit conflicted/awkward. But the coach and other senior players should have been telling him in no uncertain terms not to overthink it and just go for the record. If the...

*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Guess if it had been anyone but him closing on the record Mulder would have let them carry on, just felt pressure to Do The Right* Thing because he was captain. Shame. Hope he breaks the record in the second innings. *I.e. wrong

*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Rough on Zimbabwe but can't not root for Mulder here.

England players and selection discussion thread

I'm not ready for Woakes to be done. 🥺 If Atkinson and Carse are fully fit then both should play but dunno if either will be. Cook/Potts into the reckoning otherwise?

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Great performance from India, England blown away. Bowling from Siraj and especially Akash too good for us.

    Bret Hart vs Bryan Danielson

Man, dunno. These are probably my top 2 US guys. Hart's best stuff is better but Danielson has better longevity/volume.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

You took the last five wickets in less than 10 overs with the 2nd new ball last innings. And it's not as if these guys don't have a mistake in them before then.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

True, this Test doesn't really count.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

If we're gonna chase this down you'd think this pair probably needs to halve the deficit.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Yeah we'd probably have chased this otherwise.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Only because of the rain imo.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Sadly looks like rain might save India here.
