    Largely agree with this - would also like to add that Flintoff not only benefited from higher peaks, but also being English (playing in more high profile series) in terms of being memorable, so he’s perhaps more fondly remembered than his actual quality, and certainly his consistency, suggests .

    Walsh would have had a better career than Jimmy if he were English, possibly. Jimmy gets some credit for actually doing it vs hypotheticals (although we did see late career Walsh being devastating), and while he has greatly improved his average and strike rate on the whole, he’s also below a low...

    Now we’re talking - two bowlers with very mediocre WPMs. Please stop this “he has as many wickets with as low an average as Bumrah/Cummins” crap. He takes 3.5 WPM in that time, and his away WPM is barely 3.
