Who is the most successful home-track, flat-track, minnow-bashing bully of all time?

Jayawardene? Sehwag? Hayden? Voges shaping up to be a modern HTFTMB ATG.

Please help me ensure that Jacques Rudoph hears asong I wrote (sort of) about him!

Firstly, apologies if this is breaking some kind of rules regarding advertising or spam. I'd like to think I've been here long enough and made enough posts to get the benefit of the doubt that I have not just signed up to promote my own causes in some way. A few years ago I wrote a song titled...

    ***Official*** Australian Domestic Thread 2014/15

If Voges does not get picked for The Ashes I think it sends a really negative message to everybody else. If scoring 1300+ runs in a shield season doesn't get you picked to play for Australia then you might as well skip the shield and become a T20 specialist.

Yes! Neutral shield final 5 minutes from my house. #winning

    ***Official*** Australian Domestic Thread 2014/15

My expression after Voges doesn't get picked for our next test series. Edit: Oops, should have removed Tasmania from my location before posting in this thread, how embarrassing.

    ***Official*** India in Australia 2014-5

lol @ Dharwan, sucked in. I've got absolutely no sympathy for Indians who get given out incorrectly. DRS is not always correct but umpires are? LOLOLOL.

    weight training

I can't help but lol @ people who say this; getting a physique like that comes from years of dedicated training, extremely disciplined dieting and perhaps the use of chemical enhancements. You absolutely CANNOT go into the gym to gain a bit of strength during the offseason and accidentally end...

Deep philosophical question: Is Aaron Finch actually good?

On one hand, against weak opposition on flat pitches he can be as destructive as anybody in the history of the game. On the other hand, he has never done anything particularly note-worthy in the longer form when it has mattered. I don't know what to feel

    Australia's next test debutant

If it's Aaron Finch I will stop watching cricket forever. Wouldn't be surprised if we go with another spinner in UAE and go with Boyce or Muirhead.

    Books READ by cricketers?

This thread is not about books written by cricketers, or books about cricket as such. I was wondering if anybody has heard anywhere which books (if any) successful captains and accomplished players have read and attributed some of their success to? Lately I have been doing a lot of reading on...

Road to the 2015 Ashes in England

I agree 100%, but knowing Australia's selectors Wade will be keeping and Finch will be batting @ 6.

The Australian Domestic off season 2014.

Bingo. Have practically seen the whole Tasmanian team out and about at some point in the past couple of years.

Road to the 2015 Ashes in England

My guess (and I hope this is wrong) is that Harris will retire from age/injury and Haddin will be dropped on form before then. Team will probably be something like Rogers Warner Smith Clarke Watson *NO IDEA* Wade (FUUUUU) Johnson Pattinson Cummins Lyon Edit: Or Hughes at 3 and everybody else...

The Australian Domestic off season 2014.

Had morning tea in the same place as an incumbent test batsman, a recently dropped test opening batsman, a bowler who probably could/should have played tests and the most recent Ricky Ponting medalist this morning. The Joys of living in Tasmania!

    The Beginning?

While it's a bit much to suggest this Australian team could become ATG, I can definitely see us returning to #1. Whatever Lehman has done behind the scenes it has worked remarkably well. With some decent bowlers coming through and Smith/Warner surely not at their best yet, it should be an...

***Official*** Fourth ODI at the WACA - The Saga Continues

So I was thinking... Nothing against Xavier Doherty (in shorter forms), but would it be potentially worthwhile to have Maxwell doing what he does, get Clarke to fill the bowling overs that Maxwell otherwise would and then bring in another batsman? Maxwell doesn't seem THAT much worse than...

    *Official* Second ODI in Brisbane

Very true, Faulkner will get most of the credit (deservedly so) but McKay deserves a ton of recognition for not getting out. He was instrumental in us winning.
